Lilac Festival 2009

Sunday, May 17th was the last day of our hometown's annual Lilac Festival.  We have a beautiful park in which are planted, among many other varieties of trees and flowers, a myriad of lilac bushes. 

For a fee, you can ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

 

It was difficult to get a good photograph of the lovely pansy bed.
