Some of my fellow bloggers are planning to post every day during December. I don't know if I can keep up with them, but I thought it might be fun to try!
Today was Phil's regularly-scheduled appointment with his oncologist. Dr. Smith is always an encouragement to us. He took a listen to Phil's lungs, and assured us that there were no lingering signs of Phil's near bout with pneumonia. He's still hoping that we can get Phil off chemotherapy (he's been on it nearly continuously since April, 2008) and that Phil will have more stamina.
Tonight, we decorated our tree. Grace and Anthony put the lights on over the weekend, and Anthony joined us for the hanging of the ornaments. I'm not sure how it got started, but I hand out the ornaments and let everyone else hang them. There are a few that I put on the tree myself. It's always fun to remember when we bought special ornaments: the two from our first year of married life, the one commemorating our first cat, the personalized one we got the year we moved into our current home. We have made it a tradition to purchase a new ornament every year, and we try to find one that reminds us of something special that happened during the year. We need to find a 25th anniversary one for this year.
